Artists: Black Cat Cafe is open to having artists perform here, we consider the cafe a shared space for artists of every range. We DO NOT pay performers but they are welcome to solicit tips and sell their CDs and other items or simply experiment and/or jam. However, due to licensing regulations, we can only offer our space to all original music and lyric performances (meaning music and lyrics you personally created). Licensed music or lyrics by another artist cannot be performed. Those artists not abiding by this policy, will not be able to perform at the cafe. We promote artists on-site, via email, our website, facebook and via local newspapers. We do not have a PA system. We ask that you furnish us with a basic promotional flyer which can be emailed and we can print. We also ask that you promote your performance via your own media vehicles especially since Irvington is a small village and audiences can be sparse. Non-locals should choose an early time for a better audience. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please contact me via email. Open dates can be found at www.blackcatchef.com under the “Music & Events” Tab. I am only offering weekend slots starting at 4pm until closing at 8pm except for prearranged, special engagements. You choose the length of your gig. If you want us to promote you locally via our local newspapers, etc., you must schedule your gig at least 4 weeks in advance. Once you have been scheduled, please check your listing for accuracy.
Current Art Exhibit includes Nordic Artists alongside our Local Artists. First rotation of art ends @ 9/30. Do not miss this delightful exhibit!
